Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 Design Review!

November 10th, 2008 Posted in Uncategorized

Here we go!  Wrote up a (rather long) design review of the beatiful and gorgeous Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1.  In short, it’s the best built hardware I’ve ever seen, mostly due to its brushed aluminum and smoooooth sliding mechanism.  Most solid feeling phone I’ve ever held – honestly.  Gorgeous WVGA screen, but lacks in size.  Resistive touchscreen is the best resistive one I’ve used, but obviously doesn’t compare to capacitive – makes sense due to its use of the stylus.

The panels interface is also pretty awesome to use.  Unfortunately, it just doesn’t cover up Windows Mobile 6.1 as much as I’d like it to have.  Whatever ISN’T Windows Mobile is very finger friendly.  Everything else, you gotta dig in with the fingernails – big dealbreaker to some.

Enough jabber.  Check it out!

Whoa, where did you get your hands on an X1? Neat review though. I really like the design of the phone, but unfortunately, Windows Mobile is scaring me away from it.
